Hi! I’m Doctor Alesh, the face behind Headgear. The idea of headwear solutions for health care professionals was birthed after the birth of my daughter. I wanted to protect her as much as possible from the debris and microorganisms I’m exposed to while I work as a dentist. I was already wearing synthetic wigs to work because of their ease and cost effectiveness. I then started wearing scrub caps instead but soon realized I wanted to protect my natural hair from the friction of cotton. I wore bonnets under the scrub caps but I wasn’t satisfied with the unprofessional look and the bonnet band resting on the most vulnerable areas of my hair. Now that I wear Headgear Satin Lined Scrub Caps and Bonnets, I can continue to protect my daughter, protect my hair, and look professional while doing so.
